Am I getting better yet or what? xD
This idea (winged cats) has been following me since I was a child and I first saw "Thorgal - Child Of The Stars" by Rosinski & Van Hamme. I just had to do this one day!

This shading style was my speciality when I was in highschool, I was always doing things like that, just less detailed and less complicated. One day in juniorhigh I was thrown out of teachers room after arguing with my art class bitch-teacher. She was accusing me of bringing her drawings that were not mine. I was then examined and I had to draw in front of her and few other teachers gathered as a commision. I'm still laughing when I remember the look on her face :XD: She must have felt so stupid and humiliated!

Okay, I know this has been sitting in my devWatch for a while, but I wanted to actually have time to look at it. The kitties are so cute, I couldn't see the hatching one from the thumb, but I love him! Fantastic pencil/pen texturing. Is the colour an ink or digital wash?

The background color? Oh no, it's watercolor. I just covered the paper with water and paint just after finishng the base sketch. I wouldn't even know how to do it digitally, I'm so lame when it comes to photoshop tricks xD I can only use simple tools, burn edges, make frames etc. Nothing more. Sharpening, of course, is a must. I used a simple gelpen to draw this.
Thank you for your comment :) I often leave the works I like in my watch to visit them later :) Right now I'm keeping everything from July there, perhaps it's a good idea to finally deal with it :)

Koty wykluwajace sie z jaj to jeszcze... ale nie wyobrazam sobie ogromnego niezadowolenia kocicy, ktora mialaby te jajka znosic niczym jakas podrzedna, wiejska kwoka :XD: to takie... "nie kocie" :) Dziekuje za komentarz i odwiedziny ^^
